SS hospital, SS-Revier
The hospital where SS personnel were treated was called the SS-Revier. In 1944, near the Birkenau extermination camp, the camp administration built an additional "SS sickbay" (SS-Lazarett). In late December 1944, it was damaged during an Allied airstrike.
